Chabé Private excursions in Normandy for the 70th anniversary of D-Day

This year, French Normandy is celebrating the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. Many Allied Heads of State and hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world are expected from June 5 to August 21.

The Landings of June 6th are of cardinal importance in the collective memory of the English-speaking world. A large number of commemorations and festivities will take place on the D-Day landings Beaches and on the sites of the Battle of Normandy, including firework displays, parades, parachute drops, setting up of military camps, open air concerts and much more…

The International ceremony on June 6th 2014 will take place at Sword Beach, which was one of the five beaches of the D-Day Landings, along the Normandy coast.

This year commemorations of the Landings of June 6th 1944 will provide one of the last opportunities for transmission of memory while welcoming some of the guardians of the « living memory », remaining witnesses of World War II.

Chabé organises private excursions in a chauffeur-driven car to the key landmarks of 6th June, 1944 and to the key places in the Battle of Normandy, offering a great opportunity to retrace history, thanks to Chabé chauffeurs strong knowledge of the region and of the events.
